Yes, gel manicure/polish are so in these days not only they are pretty but they do last for quite awhile. But before you decide of spending that much on getting gel nails you must also consider the another cost that you will pay after 2 weeks of getting Gel Polish removal. Yes ladies, they charge the removal of your gel nails/ polish. My favorite place of getting it is non other than Dashing Diva!
Please watch my video on my review of Dashing Diva’s gel manicure
After 3 weeks of getting it and already seeing regrowth of my nails its time for a new one! They’ll charge you 250 php for the Gel Polish removal + the gel manicure service with a total price of 900 php. I think that is too much for a gel manicure isn’t? After several times of applying and removing of my gel nails I have learned the process on removing the gel manicure 🙂 I learned and decided to do the Gel Polish removal by myself and wanted to share to you guys how to do it too. Promise it is easy.
Materials for DIY Gel Polish removal
- Pure Acetone – I just bought the Pure acetone from Dashing Diva for 300 pesos. You have to make sure that it is PURE. Most of the acetone in the local market/drugstore is not pure. So I would suggest you buy from specialty stores like beauty bar or
- Cotton or cotton ball
- Aluminum foil
Using pure acetone soak the cotton ball and put it on top of your nail and wrap it in a strip of aluminum foil to fix it in place.
Remove the foil and cotton ball from one nail first. The gel should come right off.
Use a cuticle pusher tool to remove the soaked gel polish.
Look gel polish no more! I just saved 200 pesos 🙂 Now all I need to do is to clean my nails lol
